had the wheel off the other day only to find out that one of the nuts was hardly on..
one of the threads is fooked ![]() can the thread be replaced or do i need a new hub..if so has anyone got one off a uk vtec crx? |

you wont need to change the hub...just the one thread thats fecked afaik. take a look on the workshop manual

You can just get a new wheel stud, either off a scrapped one or new. motor factors wont have them main dealer will. its a simple job, you should be able to hit it back with a hammer and replace. you might have to take off the brake disk.
A rover or honda car in a scrap yard should have the part. You could also try a toyota car, i know the nuts will thread on each other anyway. They just have a different spanner size to open them. if your going to a scrap yard take off the worn one and use it to compare the length and number of splines on the back of the stud. also if taking off a stud hand thread a nut onto it a bit first so you wont damage the thread while hitting it back. |

Yea not that big of a job to strip back to it I think they are just pressed in on splines have em off the Civic at he minute

got it sorted for now anyway..just got a replacement nut and it bit on the good thread and went on fine..
