Default Water leak

Ive got some water leakin into the boot of my Crx and was just wonderin where is the normal places it seems to creep in? I had the quarter cards out and found one comin in by the back lamp. More seems to be comin from high up as if its runnin down the C pillar, joint of the roof and quarter maybe? I could do with a new boot seal too, i presume they can only be got from Honda?

go to your nearest tyre center, get an old inner tube of a tyre, cut it into the same section as the existing seal on your rear lights, and bobs your uncle

to be honest, unless you've been chewing on them, they are not the source of the leaks. Theres a very good write up on crx-uk about boot leaks, they are VERY common. Heres a few things that i can think of;

Rear light seals/gaskets
rear washer jet (is it blocked etc)
where the gas struts that keep the boot lid open meet the lid. Very common area
sunroof drain, this can be found behind the rear plastics on the drivers side (i think), just going down towards the rear arch. Find it, clean it, put it back. ITs probably got 20 years of old leaves and crap blocking it.

Its definitely leakin round the boot struts but i presumed it had to be runnin down from further up. Tried to take out the washer jet yesterday but no joy and didn't wanna make shitee of the paint.

Ok think i have an idea where your are talking about,,, the leak I found was top left and right of where the boot lid meets the body there is a little bit welded that could have a small crack in the weld allowing water to seep in then runs down the pillar and drips of the rams for the bootlid.. sorry kinda hard to explain hope it help

well make sure to read the write up on crxuk as it covers the leaking boot strut area. i dont think its the boot struts, rather something further up, possibly guttering of some sort. Log on and read it cause i cant remember what exactly was the solution but its there
