What in the name of jizz does all that mean....?!?!? I've a pain in my hoop at 4k rpm at 70mph in fifth gear. Will this fifth gear be longer, ie reduce revs at that speed?

Im the same 70 mph at 4k ive a d16a9 with a rover p7 box
i think its outta a 214 gti great acceleration but pig on the main roads
at least its a good strong box
What engines in your car and do you know what box type or code

Youd probably be worse off with the complete gearbox because of the 4.4 final drive but if you just swapped 5th youd gain a bit alright

Yeah, I've a Y1 in mine. It'd only be for the fifth I want it. Would this be the same box fitted to a DA teg?

Yea there was the j1,s1 and ys1 in the DA

I its the 5th gear your after this is the box you want it from cause the one from a ys1 wont fit the y1
