Thats a good price - koni's alone would cost you that from some shops.

How's the paint job coming on?

Hmm, interesting.

Those are JDM fitment, right? Can you get them in fork fitment for Euro cars, do you know? Also, what about customs?

Koni's are available to suit both. You probably need to do some research on part numbers. I'm sure you could find em on CRX-UK

they do both fork and loop , you can ask for what ever spring rates you want , im going for 350 - 250 , eibach make the springs to order , there is little info on ground control on crx uk , but plenty on honda-tech , well respected product and company .
asfor the paint job , well i know i said there was no rush , and there isint , be he sure is taking his time , 9 weeks , im calling over tomorrow morning ,so hopfully will have some news then .

What do th espring rates mean? Sorry to ask a stupid question like this but I want to get a good setup on both cars so I'm trying to work out what to go for. Koni/Eibach combo seems to be highly recommended, even more than D2s.

Springs that have a low Spring Rate are soft, while springs that have a high Spring Rate are stiffer. If there are 2 different values listed, it means that the spring starts at one rate, and ends at another rate under full compression. eg- if you see a spring with 2 different coil pattern's in it has 2 spring rates. What Affects the Spring Rate? diameter of wire, When wire diameter increases, spring rate increases.
Diameter of the spring: That is in fact 'the mean diameter of the spring', achieved by subtracting the diameter of the wire from diameter of the spring:

The overall outside diameter of the spring (mm) - diameter of the wire (mm)

When diameter of the suspension spring increases, the spring rate decreases.

Number of Active Coils (length / height of the coil spring): Determination of the active coil number varies according to spring design. Total coil number -2 for springs with both ends closed. Count the total coils -1 for springs with one end closed and one end open.

As the number of active coil decrease, the spring rate increases.

Normal Springs has a fixed spring rate.

Step Linear Springs are springs which have 2 different spring rates.

Progressive Springs have a variable spring rate.

paul if you read my recent posts on crxuk in the chassis section , ive asked all the dumb ass question already , adi and nick d have been helpful , all though the more info you get the more confused you get, a guy on honda-tech called tyson ( no joke ) has advised me alot also , it was him that said to use 350-250 spring rates , as these are what ground control and eibach have developed as the best rates for a street racer ( there phrase ) and im not going to argue with eibach ETC .yes there are lots of reasons for other rates ,but for my model for normal/street racing[:0] this is what they recommend , plus if i do decide to change the springs i can sell them on crxuk or here and uprate them then . hope this helps as i know its a bit of a head wrecker .
PS when i get my car sorted you are all welcome to have butchers and see what you think .
