Default si to vtec conversion

i have a crx si and i'm thinking of buying a crashed ee8/ef8 and doin the conversion my self. i'm just wondering has anybody got any good links for the conversion?

i've never done anything like this so i'd say i'll need a fairly good walk threw. would there be alot of unbolting from one car and re ataching to the other? or is there any custom work involved?

your going from a d series to a b series, so you will have to weld in engine mounts. Its not going to be a bolt in job at all. If you spend a few hundred fettling the d16 engine you have, you can seriously improve the performance, and do most of the work yourself. D16 is a mighty engine in its own right, although ive never driven an si

i'm not really bothered tuning the d16. i'm planning on running a b18 in the crx and i have a ys1 gearbox there too so i'll be able to use a 4.9 fd in it.

i found two great links i'll post them up. still debating on weather on not to do it myself tbh

Ya will need to weld in one mount. The gearbox one.
Ya will need drive shaft's from you b series engine's source.
Wiring is straight forward enough from an si to vtec.
I've done a few of these conversion's, made loom's, etc.
Your as well of to convert it to obd1. Programmable ecu's are going cheap including a map these day's. Less than 500euro.
A b18 would be obd1 at least, anyway.
