Default carb cleaning

hi,
anybody familliar with this job? planning to do a good service on the 1,5x over the holidays.
All i need is a can of carb cleaner right?no special tools
Just pop of the cover and spray?

any info gladly accepted

thats what i did with mine, got a can from halfrauds and followed the instructions on it. i think you have to let it warm up then turn it off, spray and turn it on and rev it a bit.

thanks.did you have to remove any residue from the spray after or did you just leave it in there

i just left it as it was once i'd given it a revving, dont think there was any though

done it there. just sprayed in where the air filter was and into the 2 mesh covered holes whilst opening throttle.

sound, filter was a bit grimey looking so ill try get one furing the week. any idea how much it will set me back? And oil filter and oil too?
