Default Security system

As some of Ye know, I'm building A house.
During the week I'd some unwanted visitors knocking around. I won't be racist on a public forum, but the had a hiace.

So it left me thinking a lot. Lost a whole nights sleep actually. Lol.
So I came up with this simple idea.
I have used a solar sensor light to activate speeddail on an old Nokia.

This means that I will be aware of movement from now on.

This simple idea could be used as a warning system in cars, just as easily. That's why I'm putting it up here.

Some idea in fairness!!The beauty about it is the battery will last for ages in an old phone!
how is the phone triggered? The the motion sensor turns on the lights which triggers the photo cell, but how is the photocell connected to the phone. Did you hard wire it in or modify an existing lead for the phone?

It closes a circuit in a relay. This relay is connected to any given number on the cell phone.
The solar panel will charge the phone also.

Ha ha. Was thinking about the central locking solenoid in my car. Just replaced one lately so I know it's perfect for a trigger. Lol

The other idea you were telling me about was awesome. Colin said he'd donate a Go-Pro cam to capture the moment if you set it up. That would get some amount of hits on youtube.
